TAN BOON HONG (PETER) is the Founder of BOON & CO. and a practising Advocate & Solicitor specialising in dispute resolution, contractual dispute, corporate insolvency, landlord and tenant dispute and will and estate. He constantly acted as a Counsel in the matters involving corporate governance and contractual disputes in the Appellate Court.

Graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of the West of England, Bristol, and subsequently obtained his Certificate in Legal Practice (CLP). He completed his pupillage at a medium-sized leading litigation, corporate & commercial law firm in Petaling Jaya before being admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2016. Prior to founding Boon & Co., he practised in a boutique firm in Kuala Lumpur specialised in corporate and commercial litigation where he further honed his litigation and advisory skills.

In terms of corporate and commercial litigation, Peter is known as experienced in handling complex shareholders’ disputes, particularly minority oppression and derivative action, and had resulted in favourable outcomes for his clients. He is well-versed in resolving the disputes between the shareholders and the Company to prevent the matter being escalated. Further, Peter has also represented foreign company in the claim involving call and put option of company’s shares. Through his in-depth legal and commercial understanding, he has successfully secured positive results for his clients.

In addition to dispute resolution, Peter has extensive experience in rendering the advice in respect of incorporation of private limited companies under the Companies Act 2016. He advises clients on pre-incorporation planning, drafting constitution and shareholders’ agreement and advising board’s resolution.

Li Xuen graduated with a Bachelor of Law degree from the University of the West of England and further obtained Certificate in Legal Practice (CLP) in 2015. In 2016, Li Xuen had completed her pupillage and was then admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor in the High Court of Malaya in the same year.

During her years of practice, Li Xuen has possessed vast experience in handling diverse areas of real estate and banking transactions.
Li Xuen regularly advises individuals and corporations on residential and commercial project development and other transactional advice related to the acquisition, planning and development, leasing and disposal of real estate assets. She has negotiated commercial tenancies terms for shopping malls and famous multinational chains of restaurants, gourmet supermarkets and cinemas.
As for banking related matters, Li Xuen advises developers, real estate holding companies, construction companies, logistics companies and SME companies on various banking matters including corporate financing, SME financing, project financing, share subscription financing, enterprise financing and consumer property financing.
Li Xuen also regularly drafts, negotiates and reviews various kinds of contracts, e.g. partnership agreements, shareholders agreement, employment and management contracts, business acquisition agreements and etc. She encourages companies / business owner to pen down their business intention in clear terms whenever they enter into contracts.
She treated clients with genuine care and patience and guided clients through every step ahead of time. Many clients regard her as a dedicated and trusted legal advisor. A number of them have also become close friends over the years.
She is proficient in English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin, and Cantonese.
